Devoid of context, the album stands up as a clear distillation of what it means to be young and bored and drunk and having sex and barely paying rent and being bored and having sex.

With the context of post-Rolling Stones rock and pop music, it's only that much better with clever, subtle nods to other artists and genres that never comes off as parody.
