The Wiesmann GT MF4 Clubsport Is The M3 I Want

I'm a hardcore BMW E46 M3 fanatic, which means that I find the E92 M3 too big to be the real deal. The size of all Wiesmanns, on the other hand, looks just about right. Now they have a new one: it's called the GT MF4 Clubsport, and it's the best of them all.

Limited to 25 units, the Clubsport is a lightened, track-focused MF4 with a number plate. The 420 horsepower M3-sourced V8 is pushed as far behind the front axle as possible for a front-mid engined layout, and you also get the 7-speed double clutch transmission with a self-locking differential from the M3. The suspension is a double wishbone set up with coil springs and anti-roll bars at both ends, while the rubber is 275 wide at the rear.

Thanks to the aluminum monocoque frame, the fiberglass body with bits of carbon fiber and the fact that you get integrated roll bars and a fire extinguisher instead of a GpS system, air conditioning or a radio, the Clubsport weights only 2,976 pounds. That means 4.4 seconds to 62 and a top speed of 182 mph.

One of the 25 might be coming to a race track near you soon...
